Turn CS2 Skins into Cash!
Valve has brought the Animgraph 2 updates from the testing phase to the main version of the game
Counter-Strike 2 received several important fixes and improvements directly affecting gameplay with the new update. All changes previously tested under the animgraph_2_beta structure are now officially active in the game. Although the update might not appear as a massive content pack, it includes adjustments that can especially make a difference in animation fluidity and gameplay feel.
There are small but important changes on the animation side
The highlight of the update is gathered under the Animgraph 2 heading. In this section, small adjustments were made to the viewmodel animations. Along with this, the general weapon draw animation logic was also reorganized. It seems the intention was to achieve a cleaner and more consistent feel, especially during weapon switches.
Another notable fix was the transition issues between knife attacks. Some transition problems felt in close combat were resolved, and another long-standing noticeable bug was fixed: the Elites not firing in third-person view problem is now eliminated.
Gameplay-affecting bugs were also addressed
Valve did not only focus on animations in this update. A bug that allowed players to silently climb stairs at running speed by intermittently pressing movement keys was also fixed. This change is particularly valuable for players who understand the importance of sound information in competitive matches.
Additionally, the ground softening system during transitions from sloped to flat surfaces was revised. In short, some technical fine-tuning was made to make character movement feel more natural and smoother.
Annoying issues in grenade and side switching were resolved
There are other technically notable fixes in the update. A bug that caused bombs thrown to the ground and picked up again to appear at incorrect sizes was fixed. Although it might appear as a minor detail, it was important for the overall visual consistency of the game.
Furthermore, a more serious in-match issue was resolved: the push problem occurring when switching from CT to T side during halftime is now fixed. The elimination of such a bug is a welcome development for players, especially in competitive matches.
Small update, clean gameplay experience
This patch may not seem like a huge content update at first glance, but it contains adjustments that make CS2’s overall flow cleaner and more stable. These touches made at many points, from animations to movement feel, from technical bugs to in-match fluidity, further strengthen the core structure of the game.
These kinds of updates are always valuable, especially for regular players. Because sometimes the biggest difference is not new content, but making the game feel more polished.
